Choose What Plays on a Screen

Choose what a screen displays by assigning a single piece of content or a playlist from the screen's content picker.

Overview

You can choose what a screen normally displays directly from My Screens.

Digipal calls this Assigned Content.

"How to Change What's Playing on a Screen"

Assigned Content is the screen's normal/default content when no Schedule, Broadcast, Smart Trigger, or other override is active.

Example:

A café wants its Front Counter Menu to normally play:

All-Day Menu

Open My Screens and locate Front Counter Menu.

Select the Assigned Content dropdown.

The dropdown lets you browse:

Content

or:

Playlists

Choose the content or playlist you want.

It becomes the screen's default assignment.

For a visual browser, select the folder icon beside Assigned Content.

This opens the Select Content window.

Use a Playlist when several items should rotate.

Use an individual Content item when one item should remain on the display continuously.
