Understanding a Screen

What a screen card represents in Digipal: its name, status, assigned content, Now Playing, and available controls.

Overview

A Screen in Digipal represents a Digipal player that has been paired with your account.

The physical display could be:

  • a television;
  • a commercial display;
  • a menu board;
  • a kiosk;
  • a wayfinding display;
  • another supported display configuration.

The Screen Name identifies the display inside your account.

Status

Each screen is shown as:

Pairing Code

Each screen has a pairing code associated with it.

The code can also be used when searching My Screens.

Assigned Content

Assigned Content is what the screen normally plays.

Think of it as the screen's default content.

Now Playing

Now Playing tells you what currently has control of the display.

This can sometimes be different from Assigned Content.

A plan label may appear on the screen.
