How to Set Up a DOOH Listing and Start Earning from Your Screens

Every screen that sits idle between scheduled content slots represents unsold ad inventory. The Digipal DOOH marketplace connects screen owners with advertisers who want to reach audiences in specific locations. This guide covers the complete setup process, from enabling the DOOH addon to receiving your first campaign.

Prerequisites

  • A Digipal account on a Professional or Enterprise plan, or a plan with the DOOH addon enabled
  • At least one paired and online screen you want to monetise
  • A completed Stripe Connect setup for payouts (the dashboard will prompt you if this is missing)

Step 1: Open the Advertiser Portal Setup

Navigate to the DOOH section in your Digipal dashboard sidebar and select Advertiser Portal Setup. This is where you build your venue profile — the information advertisers will see when browsing available screens in the marketplace.

Step 2: Complete Your Venue Profile

  • Venue name and description — be specific about the location type (shopping centre, transit hub, gym, restaurant)
  • Physical address — used for location-based browsing in the marketplace
  • Estimated daily footfall — advertisers use this to calculate expected impressions
  • Operating hours — the hours during which your screens are active and ads can run
  • Venue photos — a clear image of the screen in context improves booking rates significantly

Step 3: Select Screens to List

From the venue profile, choose which of your paired screens to include in the marketplace listing. You can list all screens in a venue or exclude specific displays — for example, keeping a screen showing sensitive internal content off the marketplace while monetising the public-facing lobby displays.

Step 4: Set Your Rates

For each listed screen, configure your pricing. You can set a CPM (cost per thousand impressions) based on estimated footfall, or a flat daily or hourly rate. Rates can vary by time of day — morning rush slots can command a higher price than late-night inventory. The marketplace shows anonymised benchmarks from comparable screens in similar location types to help you calibrate.

Step 5: Configure Campaign Approval

Choose whether incoming campaign requests require manual approval or can auto-approve. Manual approval lets you review creative assets before they go live, which is recommended for venues with brand or content standards. Auto-approve is useful for high-volume networks where pre-approved advertiser categories have already been defined.

Step 6: Define Ad Slot Rules

Set how much of each screen's airtime is allocated to ad inventory. A common configuration is two to three 15-second ad spots per content cycle, interleaved with your editorial content. These rules ensure ads never dominate the screen while still generating meaningful revenue per hour.

Going Live

Once your venue profile is complete and at least one screen is listed, submit your listing for review. Listings appear in the marketplace within 24 hours. When an advertiser books a slot, their creative is delivered automatically through the Digipal content pipeline — no manual file transfer or coordination is needed on your side.
